What simulation is not
The dojo is not the arena, and we do not pretend it is.
Simulation has a gap. Contact physics, sensor noise, thermal behaviour and the thousand small ways real hardware disappoints you do not transfer cleanly. Any company that tells you their simulator has closed that gap is selling you something.
That gap is exactly why the league exists. The dojo gets your machine to the point where the remaining unknowns are worth spending real hardware to find out.
We publish the gap. Every season we compare dojo performance against arena performance across the whole field and release the delta. That number going down is the single best measure of whether this company is working, and we would rather you judged us on it than on anything else we say.
