Boilerplate.
Long version
AI Miyagi is a robotics event and research initiative based in Miami, Florida, and a property of Cafecito Ventures. Its events pair choreographed humanoid exhibition bouts with a live teleoperated combat bracket, with every bout publicly labelled as rehearsed or live. Its research addresses open problems in push recovery, sensor to action latency and motion interpolation from human capture.
Short version
AI Miyagi is a Miami robotics event pairing choreographed humanoid showcases with a live combat bracket, and the research behind both.
One line
Robotics, in public.
Note for journalists.
If you are writing about robot combat, the single most useful thing we can tell you is that almost every viral demo you have seen is pre programmed and motion mapped to a controller, including the very good ones. We label ours. Most do not. That is a story in itself and we are happy to talk about it on the record.
